Valkyria Chronicles II heading West News

SEGA has announced that PSP sequel Valkyria Chronicles II will head West next summer. The tactical, watercolour-style RPG launches in Japan this winter.

Confirmation comes from the European PlayStation blog, where a happy SEGA representative shared the news.

Although on PSP, Valkyria Chronicles II picks up where the PS3 original left off and will be created by the same team. We hope little is lost in the translation as the first was a "really, really, really good tactical RPG," concluded the Eurogamer review.

Link to the VC2 gamepage isn't working, btw ;p

Can't wait for this tho. The original is an underrated classic, and it should adapt well to life on the PSP I reckon.

Get a cheapie from Cash Converters or some such place! If people can buy a plastic guitar to play a game...

Excellent, now here's hoping (please ask them about this EG) Sega reissue the PS3 game with the DLC content sometime in 2010 for all the new PS3 owners to find out what all the fuss is about.

@VX - there are some gameplay trailers on YT for the VCII it's looking really good :)

@Vertical - not sure of a re-release, but it is still possible to pick up the game in shops. I read on hotukdeals that Tesco had it instore for £12 today (store dependant though).
