SEGA will be releasing Valkyria Chronicles on 31st October, a fortnight earlier than expected.

This is the PS3-exclusive turn-based and real-time strategy game painted in a pretty watercolour way.

There's a PSN demo on the way next week, which is helpful, given as we know relatively little about the title so far. What we do know is stuffed handily into our Valkyria Chronicles gamepage.

Expect our thoughts rather soon. Unless we're preparing our Halloween costume: do we go traditional or for something slightly more off the wall? Or perhaps just cross-dress?

so in the space of 7 days you can get Fable 2, Far Cry 2, LBP, Fallout 3, Dead Space and now this.

This one could be good... will definitely be trying out the demo as I've not played anything like this on my PS3 yet. Nice visuals too but the colour palette is surprisingly drab.

Yeah, same day as Fallout 3. And since this is a turnbased game and Fallout 3 isn't....Well, I know what I'm getting :)

Stupid!

The most crowded 2 weeks of the year. Releasing it later would be better, seeing as games a week old are already considered old by most gamers.

I will buy this eventually, but not in that timeframe. Fallout 3, LBP and Fable 2 made sure of that

Just checked my pre-orders and it looks like there's some six games due in the last two weeks of October! Eek! I wouldn't have been too bothered really but I've a feeling that Fallout 3 will eat up most of my time and I'll end up not playing the others much. Still there's always the Christmas break to catch up isn't there and the December/January period is usually devoid of new releases.

I'm looking forward too both, but seeing as I'm kneedeep in Disgaea 3 since only a week I could use some change of spice.

Depends of what you're looking for of course. But Decemeber also sees Prince of Persia, Banjo, Mafia 2, and Bionoc Commado.

The wallet of pain just doesn't stop.

@crazyhorse174: absolutely no relation whatsoever. Valkyria Chronicles is a SEGA turn-based strategy RPG in a slightly steampunky faux-WW2 setting with a beautiful watercolour art style - it looks like something from Hayao Miyazaki or something.

This is one I am looking forward to. There seems to be little in the way of preview coverage on this site though. IGN seem to have a fair bit of coverage and it looks very encouraging.

I'll try the demo first but looks like something I'd be interested in. But as said before, Fable 2 and Fallout 3 will eat most of my time, if Pro Evo doesn't (which I'm sure it will)
