US to get Saints Row 2 PC in 2009 News

THQ has confirmed the release of Saints Row 2 PC has been delayed in the US.

As reported by IGN, news of a delay first emerged in a community post from moderator V-Singular.

He wrote, "The PC version was delayed because we wanted to make the highest quality game across all platforms, but it just needed more time."

V-Singular went on to explain it's not that easy to port a console game to PC, adding, "The PC version is still being produced and tested at Volition with support from the design and programming teams as needed. This is in no way a hands-off external port of the game."

Saints Row 2 PC is now down for a release on 5th January in the US. THQ UK has declined to comment on when the game will arrive in Europe. In the meantime, why not read our review of the console version?

Jeez was really looking forward to the PC version.

But I suppose its Ok. Not like there arent any games to tide me over till JAN.

Well at least it gives us something to look forward to after Christmas. Like you say, it's not as if we don't have enough to play already.

Yep gotta love that high quality of the game glitching all over the place and freezing repeatedly.

Still a brilliant game though. Barely touched Fable 2 because I'm addicted to the Row.

The cut scenes in this game are amazing! I've only had it for just over a week and in between uni, gym, getting drunk, sleeping, watching south park and reading comments threads, i've put in almost 40 hours!

This has only happened because if the US get it early, then there'll be loads of torrent seeds to grab it from.

Bought SR2 on friday.. been playing it all day.

Vastly superior to GTA4 in EVERY way...
