US charts: Wii Fit blocks SFIV attack Comments by Robert Purchese

Well to be fair. U cant expect Killzone to be on top when it only had about 2/3 days on that month. When was it realeased in the US again ??

EDIT: Found it, it was released on Feb 27th over there so that's 2 Days only. Impressive that it achieved 300k on just 2 days.

KZ2 only had a few days of sales so the numbers are not that bad. Still you expect a hyped title like that to be heavily pre-loaded, I guess we will find out next month.

Halo 3 for example had almost 2 million sales first few days. Also a heavily pre-loaded title.

As a PS3 owner browsing through some of my recent purchases such as: Killzone 2, Little Big Planet, Fifa 09, Street Fighter 4, Wipeout HD, life as a gamer is f'ing fantastic. A quality game to cover every need combined with strong multiplayer what more can a gamer ask for? On the horizon, games such as Uncharted 2, Just Cause 2, COD6 (done by Infinity Ward) just makes me want to cum all day long with anticipation!

yeah, whilst my previous post reads like i'm a PS3 fanboy with one hand on my controller and the other firmly wrapped around my dick. Please let me assure you that I most certainly do not ejaculate over any electrical equipment, especially my PS3.

Wii fit? I dont think i will ever stop being surprised about the Wii. I just dont get it.

SFIV has made Capcom a pretty penny from the looks of things then.

Only 43k more sales of SFIV on 360 than PS3, despite double the install base is not going to make MS particularly happy I would've thought. On the software sales front Sony and (no suprises) Nintendo surely have more things to smile about.

Especially as Star Ocean has apparently tanked.

I suprised by F.E.A.R 2 not doing well, well I suppose atrocities like the EG review didnt help but Id actually heard from a store owner who reckons it did pretty darn well and also confirmation from pretty much everyone that bought it that the EG reviewer should slap themselves.

Its atleast as good as Killzone 2 where it counts, infact even some aspects of the visuals top KZ2(special effects and the like) , loses out on the online but vastly superior plot, and execution of story(pacing was apparently much improved on the first game with a better flow thanks to the better balance of action and horror parts as you work through it).

Neither deserved a 9 both 7/8 games depending on what you are after (multiplayer, good story, theme horror or space marine/sci-fi ect).

killzone 2 has a far better multiplayer component than fear and graphically it's a generation ahead.

the "only" in the article is ridiculous. as has been stated Killzone was out for only 2 days of the month. comparing the game to halo is equally preposterous... Killzone doesn't have Halo's pedigree.

I think you're being a bit over-sensitive to be honest. I'm just pointing out that unlike this months hardware NPD's, (which are very positive) the software figures aren't spectacular.

I'm sorry if you think its fanboyish to point out that with a 7million+ unit install-base advantage, MS might think that outselling the (arguably inferior) PS3 build by less than 50k is not a great success! Same thing with Star Ocean, its a big exclusive that has failed to dent the top 10.

Point taken but what I think will happen is that the Ps3 version will drop off the top charts before the 360 one will, teh 360 will be a slower burner then the PS3 then we will see how trhe bigger install base helps out there.

Well, not to downplay the achievement, but even for 2 days 300k isn't particularly fantastic for a game like KZ - a Sony exclusive we've been hearing about for years. I'm fairly certain MGS4 did quite a bit better.

In comparison, LBP had a similar scenario in which it was released in the final couple of days of the month. It sold about 200k its first month, failed to crack the top 10 in month 2 and failed to crack top 30 in month 3. So, 2 days is a decent indication of where sales are going. Afterall, you probably have 75% of 1st month sales happen for the bigger games in the first day alone.

No, he just wanted to say that it has better graphics that KZ2 because he despises anything PS3 related.

I'll go by the EG reviews which say that F.E.A.R. 2 is average, is Killzone 2 is excellent.

I fail to see what else you are doing. And comparatively speaking KZ2 isn't that far behind SFIV on either 360 or PS3 which have been out a good few weeks earlier.

Sony exclusives aren't selling well as Wii and Microsoft exclusives, simple as that.

I said they both deserve 7/8 and it really is true the reveiw of the game couldnt be more off from the reaction I heard from quite alot of people who I know for a fact genuinely bought it and finnished it(other gaming sites)... they have different strengths as I pointed out already.(I even said KZ2 has the multiplayer) Also I never said FEAR2 had better graphics I said some aspects of them were, like the effects(frame buffer effects, if you've seen the game you'll know what Im talking about I originally said special effects because it was easier to see where I was coming from) I can understand if you prefer KZ2s graphics but to claim a generational leap? You really dont know what you are talking about if you beleive that, some of you talked like this was the first game to use deffered rendering, also generational leaps arent adding in some insignificant volumetric dust or clouds you buffoons if it worked like that, devs would be claiming it left right and centre or adding things in just to say theyve made a leap where they havent.

I'll say it again FEAR2 was atleast as good as Killzone2 where it matters. The difference was 5 to a 9? Even adding a point for exclusiveness its just plain wrong to completely slate one game and mark it down for the mistakes which are abundant in a game that recieved nothing but praise and a overly generous score on the very same site in the same month. No Im not a dev who worked on the game but I feel annoyed by it all the same as its missleading, games should be judged fairly and evenly.

I wasnt even bashing KZ2 I was just confirming the reactions to the shitty review still stand, they were justified it was poor form is all.
