I'm looking forward to this... picked up the PC version of UTIII for a bargaintastic £15 just after Christmas and it's great.

Nice. Loving the sound of the Betrayal gametype, that could be a good laugh I reckon. Split-screen and a mod browser are also some great additions (should've been there at launch though IMO). Gonna have to start playing UTIII a bit more often methinks!

ohh i managed to get hold of this at woolies closing down sale for a measly english pound coin, and its been sitting on my desk ever since. With the release of this patch i guess loads of people will be coming back to it to play?

Hopefully we'll see a big boost to the online community. Should be a great bit of DLC.

Remember you can use your CD retail key to to link UT3 to your Steam account. No need to re-download, just move the folder and get steam to check the files.

@Wastelander - Yep, that's what I've done, although I kept the original retail version installed specifically so I could try the v2.0 beta 1 patch and still go online with the Steam version.

And you can still play this on the PS3 with mouse and keyboard too, right? Crazy stuff. And I think the game itself is already down to two tenners or so on play.com ...

Nice one Epic!

Shame the DLC's not on 360, as it is truly an awesome game and deserved more attention than it got.

Hmm... seems like more gimmicks than actual gameplay improvement. Wasn't too keen on most of the modes in UT3, I can understand no bombing run as it wasn't that popular online after 2K4 came out, but assault mode was always great fun and it's disheartening to see it disappear every iteration. I don't like the new focus on vehicle much that came with UT3 and I doubt I'll enjoy the Titan mode.

It's a great patch and show of faith for Epic though, don't get me wrong on that, but it does feel that UT just isn't for me anymore, which is a shame as I've been with it since the first demo of UT.

Great game on the 360 - can't understand why this didn't sell better - I'd have thought the Gears of War crowd would have lapped it up.

Damn, I really wish I still had my PS3 for this. It sounds awesome. Kudos to Epic for giving it away free.

Sounds nice.
Might just persuade me to put the UTIII disc back in my PS3 for the first time since it got bumped out for Portal over a year ago.

As a big fan of UT2k4, I found U3 a bit underwhelming. That said, there's still plenty of goodness in there.

And I will keep playing for years to come for two simple reasons: no need for a disc and bot support. Seriously. You'd think other games would notice the value of that by now.

I just got UT3 for PS3 for a tenner because I heard you can play with a keyboard and mouse. It's got a pretty silly single player and no Morpheus (Insta Gib on Morpheus was always so much fun)! It's cool to hear that there adding new stuff to it though!

Yes, strange they haven't put Morpheus in there. It's UT's signature map and a guaranteed player magnet especially online.

@Speedjack - The 360 version lacking user mods and coming out over six months after the PS3 and PC versions certainly didn't help.
