Uncharted gets firm US date
Europe still this Christmas.
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune will be released on 20th November in the US and is still down for release this Christmas in Europe.
That's according to game director Amy Hennig, addressing the world (well, Ellie) earlier today in Croatia, and confirms the date carried by US retailers.
Uncharted, which is developed by the Jak & Daxter scribes at Naughty Dog, puts players on the path of the fabled treasure of El Dorado, and is seen as one of Sony's key PS3 exclusives in the run-up to Christmas.
Hennig also told journalists that the game is "about a week" away from going beta internally, which bodes well for its prospect of getting out the door in two months' time.
You'll be reading a lot more about it very soon, and in the meantime you can catch all the latest screenshots and movies over on our Uncharted: Drake's Fortune gamepage.

Yeah, just like any other 'next gen' title on 360 or PS3... But apparently there are idiots that buy a 360 or PS3 and their games. Quite a few frequent this site too...

does that include you, Les?
jeez, always calling people idiots...like you're a Churchill descendant or something

No, it's the fact that it's by Naughty Dog.

Nobody claimed that... but maybe a game that's a new franchice and not another FPS, racing game or sloppy PS2-to-Wii port with tacked on Wiimote controls, make the game look promising to some.

Not my fault that the idiot ratio is sky high around here.
And yeah, got a PS3 myself but not for 'next gen' games. And I'm not making fun of one console for faults that are equally applicable to another. That definitely makes me less of an idiot in that respect. But I guess I'm idiotic in some sense, trying to reason with console fundamentalists...
