UK PSP-3000 bundle contents still TBC

Reeves revelations could be Europe only.

Sony has explained that the PSP-3000 bundles announced by European boss David Reeves during Games Convention last month may not be the exact configurations we get for the UK.

The silver PSP-3000 plus Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, and black PSP-3000 plus 4GB Memory Stick remain European deals, and may not appear here at all.

The platform holder also said that the GBP 149.99 price and 17th October date revealed yesterday were not for the standalone PSP-3000 after all, but a bundle of unknown make-up. We did specifically ask about standalone, but hey, we all make mistakes.

It turns out that the PSP-3000 will not be sold separately in the UK for some time - presumably a month or two - after the bundles are introduced. Exact UK dates and prices are expected soon.

The aforementioned European bundles will sell for EUR 199, with the Clank pack on 15th October and 4GB Memory Pack in "early November".

It would have been much more fun if Sony had cast something like Firaga

Do they actually know what they're doing? Do they plan anything? Or are they just making everything up as they go along? Badly.

So let me get this straight. UK releases of US games are held back until European language translations are done, because it would upset other Sony European territories if the UK got a release at the same time as the US software with just English language. But European hardware bundles aren't even offered in the UK, because...? Do we not get "Upset"?

Hang on...I must not be up with the current news....When did we leave Europe?

The article seems to suggest that Europe and the UK are not connected in any way....I really should watch news at 10. Must have missed the referendum too.

    That's the island mentality speaking.

My god, why is it so hard to announce proper bundles and proper prices for the proper countries they are going to be available in. What a bunch of disorganised clowns.

^ er... politically UK is more an "Atlantic" country rather than a "Continental" one (an economically is also different). I canīt speak about geography as itīs not a subject I know very well, as I once thought UK was an island.

Yeah... we blew up the Eurotunnel just before you guys could get any shipments of PSPs. German U-boats are now patrolling the channel to make sure no PSPs get through!

What a bunch of wankers. This is getting ridiculous now. Why don't the useless chimps just align us with the US instead? It's all scart now anyway isn't it?

"European hardware bundles aren't even offered in the UK, because...?"

apparently because the game stores create their own bundles off their own back and actually prefer it that way. I mean go into the stores, loads of bundles there, none of them official Sony announced bundles.

Bloody good job I'm still more than happy with my lardy old first-gen PSP then, isn't it. Typical of all the hardware manufacturers as of late - unable to find their arses with both hands and a sodding atlas where the UK's concerned.

"but a bundle of unknown make-up"

As long as it's Boots No.7 I'm sold.

I have a 4gig stick already and have no intention of buying a game I wouldn't have otherwise gotten anyway. So I'll wait for the standalone version before I upgrade.
