UK charts: Resi 5 survives at top
Wheelman, Afro Samurai, Buzz! off pace.
Resident Evil 5 has held on to the UK All-Formats chart top spot for the third week running.
That equals the Resident Evil 3 chart-run, and keeps the latest instalment ahead of Wii Fit at two. There's further reason for Capcom to celebrate as Street Fighter IV retail promotions push the game up to three.
Professor Layton and the Curious Village is elbowed to four as a result, followed by WWE Legends of Wrestlemania at five and FIFA 09 at six.
Call of Duty: World at War hops up to seven: two places ahead of old-boy Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which presumably capitalises on the Modern Warfare 2 reveal late last week.
Wheelman at 11. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare continues its rise, presumably off the back of Modern Warfare 2 being announced.
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars sits between them at eight, and HAWX rounds the list off at 10.
New entries come from Wheelman at 11, and Afro Samurai, which struggles down at 33. Notable absentees from last week's newcomers include Stormrise, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time, Buzz! Brain of the UK and Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust.
Meanwhile, the Wii release of Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 pushes the game to 22, while the PS3 release of Red Alert 3 helps the title to 25.
The PS3 and PS2 release of Rock Band 2 appears to have made little impact, however

found the controls horrible, unless they just take a bit of getting used to there's no way i'd fork out for this full price

Interesting that Metacritic doesn't have a single review for Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust. Always a good sign when the publisher doesn't even send out review copies.

The controls are crap and the AI is useless. There are just a lot of disappointed people out there playing resi. I tried a PS3 co-op game the other day and we did ok. The guy was compaining about not being able to solo it though, because the AI kept getting itself killed or not shaking ammo.
Everyone else I've played with online has exactly the same complaint so it's not isolated people saying this.

AI Not sharing ammo? Do you realise that its you to command Sheva to give or exchange ammo etc so it would rest on the player not the AI?
AI is pretty simplistic but you can shift to attack or cover and both are adequate for most of the time at any difficulty apart from Professional. I finished Veteran with AI and did reasonably ok but Pro was very frustration as AI limitation reached and co op a must.

Oh, i'm sorry.. i didnt know it was now bad to be fan of a GAME on a GAME FORUM now..
Sorry.. I must go back to doing what everyone else does around here - as i'm DESPERATE to fit in... Must start slagging off a console or something as the machine is a darn site more important than the games on it...
*sigh*.. kids.

it is (As far as i remember).. But that was years ago, and things have moved on.
if any other game was released with this control system nowadays - EVERYONE would be slagging it off, but because it's resident evil - people let it get away with murder.
Demo put me off the game. Maybe i'm too harsh on it as i've not played the full game - but I wont buy the full game thanks to the demo - so i doubt i'll ever play it.

Wheelman is in the charts?!? Oh brother...

Even if things have moved on, you don't have to break a winning formula (which RE4 was). However, I can see your point on how awesome it would be if they had the GoW style over the shoulder running/covering system. And you are right that if it didn't have the RE brand name, the reviews would be less forgiving. Still, to each his own

Well best game this gen is steep it's just a good shooter, but it is almost as good as RE(boot)4....but nowhere near as good as RE which is the problem......

lol I love the way you quote me, when I am a fan of the game. Anyway, to answer your remark, I'd say "so what?". I didn't realise the gaming community got together and decided to have one type of control system. If GoW has implemented it, no one else can. Everyone must play GoW. From now on, no one else make a game where you can't run and shoot. It's been done in RE5.
