UK Charts: Fight Night 4 the champ
But fellow newcomers disappoint.
Fight Night Round 4 has become the first boxing game to top the UK All-Formats chart upon release. Perhaps it will now go to America and never be heard of again.
The EA Sports game leads a long list of newcomers this week, although few fare anywhere near as well - the only other top 10 débutante being Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen at six.
Overlord II spends its first week at 17, while siblings Overlord: Dark Legend on Wii and Overlord: Minions on DS miss both All-Formats and platform-specific charts.
Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits enters the All-Formats top 40 at 18, and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite - despite the concerted marketing efforts of Capcom and Sony - opens at only 25.
Even further down is newcomer Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires at 31, which has Spore: Galactic Adventures and Tales of Vesperia following at 37 and 38 respectively.
Other newcomers missing the All-Formats top 40 are Another Code R, which takes 18 in the Wii chart, Anno 1404 at 14 in the PC chart, and Guitar Hero On Tour: Modern Hits at 29 in the DS chart.
Those missing all lists whatsoever are Resident Evil: Archives on Wii, Prinny: Can I Really be the Hero? on PSP and Superstars V8 Racing on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Diabolik's performance is just that, as the DS, PC, PS2 and Wii title also misses out.

you're dead wrong. guitar hero is by far more innovative and fun than wii fit (which is just a crappy collection of mini-games and a scale)
edit: typo

Needs some TV ads to explain the concept, in my opinion.
Very odd, and a great shame considering it's easily the best party game outside of the obvious Nintendo stuff. I bought mine in Gamestation a few days ago, they said it was the first copy they sold.

Guitar Hero on the other hand has hardly been out of my 360 since GH2 arrived - yes, I've been playing GH games for almost 4 years.
Wii Fit innovative? not really.

After seeing all the rave reviews for it, I downloaded it again over the weekend out of curiosity. And played it again, and again, and again...
How could I have been so wrong. Once you adjust to the new style it stands head and shoulders above Fight Night 3. It really is quite brilliant.

An All format release in Europe during the summer drought would have surged sales, combined with the good sales in the USA it might have prompted Atari to make a sequel. As it is the PAL release has been sort of muted, I haven't even seen one advert or poster.

I use buttons, i downloaded the demo and found out you could not change it and so i have gave it a good go and i have adapted. I can now fight with the analogue sticks but i can honestly say there is no enjoyment at all.
I really want to like this game, it looks really awesome but the controls make it feel crap when playing.
All you do now is smash the stick around throwing punches left right and centre with no skill. For some reason people fail to see that you could not button mash as your stamina would fuck right to hell in FNR3. Now you just stick mash and your stamina hardly goes anywhere and the fact that you control every punch with the one stick it makes it really easy to stick mash. + for everyone who has played the game, do i really need to mentions the haymakers? i mean wtf is with them.
Anywho sorry for the rant but it kinda pisses me off that i wont be getting this game as i want to like it so much.
