Call of Duty, or COD (stay with it), is back in the all formats chart, or menu, at number one. You know, like fish. Tom said he would fire me if I said that.

Anyway! It's muscled previous leader FIFA 08 down in to second this week, followed eagerly by a rejuvenated Assassin's Creed at three.

The shove from Altair [twat - Dep Ed] meant Simpsons fell down to four. Guitar Hero III is at five - see, it is good, even if star power goes off when you sneeze.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 stayed put at six, edging ahead of Need For Speed: ProStreet at seven.

Elsewhere Nintendo chart heroes Brain Training and More Brain Training occupied both eight and nine, with the original proving marginally more popular. Dreadful film tie-in The Golden Compass rounded the chart off at ten.

Winning the exclusive battle further down was Mario Galaxy, climbing slightly to 15, followed by Uncharted: Drake's Fortune up to 22. And oh look Halo 3 could only manage 32.

Guitar Hero III is at five - see, it is good, even if star power goes off when you sneeze.

My biggest bugbear with that game is that it's so bloody difficult to get the star power to go off. I end up twitching all over the place trying to activate it and usually end up missing a note for my trouble. :(

Anyway, good to see the full chart listing put up.

I had this exact problem. I got over it by gently and slowly tipping the guitar upwards rather than jerking it. It's seems to be a tilt switch and so it doesn't matter how gently you raise the guitar - Star Power will trigger when it gets to a certain angle.

@moggsy: yeah, it's just the angle, you're supposed to be adopting the foot-on-the-monitor rawk solo pose or whatever. You can also activate it with the select button/knob but that requires taking your hand off the strum bar.

Not a proper list. The real list is the one with the individual formats separated. These EA games that are released on 2927928 zillion formats always give a wrong view.
