Ubisoft wants your Vegas 2 bug reports

Of problems with online multiplayer.

Ubisoft is after your bug feedback for PS3 and 360 versions of Rainbow Six Vegas 2.

The place to share your thoughts is the Ubi forum, where the official thread of complaints is currently running to 34 pages.

Apparently problems are most evident in the online portion of the game and appear to be far more noticeable in the PS3 version.

The biggest issue seems to be the inability for PS3 users to connect to online games, which seems like a rather large oversight.

Have you had many problems, Eurogamer reader? Kristan says he barely noticed any errors in around four to five hours of Live multiplayer.

Head over to our Rainbow Six Vegas 2 review for more of his thoughts.

Fuck Ubisoft, they games are constantly shit now. Polished games have been thrown out the window. We should really vote with our wallets and not buy fully priced games that are expansion packs like Island Thiunder, Black Arrow, Summit Strike and now Vegas 2 or beta releases like GRAW and Assassins Creed. Expect End War to be a buggy mess then see the fully priced expansion next year with some of the bugs fixed. Tossers.

Their online system is ASS on the 360.

Booting you back to the title screen after a ranked game?

    Server browsing?

    Really, Ubisoft?

    Really?

Halo 3 and CoD 4 are the most popular games on Live and have been out yonks, and yet you learned nothing from them about a smooth online experience?

    C'mon, pull your fingers out.

I'm experiencing a lot more lag on the MP in this than I ever did on the 1st version of this and my connection is better this time!
Anyone else getting the same? (I'm on 360)

You can join mid game now which is good, but I still find it's 50/50 whether that games laggy or not. In COD4, I rarely see a game affected by lag and even though they are different games by nature, comparisons are still going to be made.

The single player also suffers from slow down, the worst I have seen this generation.

Well don't bother doing the campaign on realistic after you've completed the story on normal as the acheive won't unlock (if you do realistic fronm the off you'd get it)

same thing happened to me on the 1st vegas, wasted a fair few hours (well not wasted but i was playing for the 75 G's)

lil bit of tearing, lil bits of slowdown, the endless gunfire glitch the 1st game had. Sad thing about the game is it has a lot of the same glitches Nr1 had which were then patched.

Ubi know about most of the glitches but don't pay to fix them pre release as it's not worth their time, as they don't happen all the time - if the 80% same music and audio samples hadn't told you already this game is a cheap one knocked out to hoover up cash (i still like it tho).

I actually think Ubi could learn a bit from EA here, not game desingn, but quality delivered to the consumer, hate on MOH, Skate,Army of two, Burnout all ye wants but when you acheive said task it unlocks, frame rates do not dip, screen does not tear. Ubi clearly do not invest enough in testing/quality control, you need only have eyes to see screen tear on Assasins creed, but they let it out the door anyway...

Ranked matches have proved unplayable on the 360 in my experience and that of several friends. Literally looks like a 4 frames per second flick-book at times, plus you get booted 50% of the time. However my experience of private matches with friends has been superb. Co-op, TH and versus modes seem to be really smooth.

Only explanation I can think of is that UbiSoft cheaped out on ranked server provision. I assume ranked matches - even if hosted on a player 360 need more Ubi server-side assistance than a purely private match? It's certainly the only thing I can think of to explain the discrepancy.

Am I reading that correctly, you pay Ubisoft to bugtest their game hahahahahaha, they're seriously extracting the urine!!!
I feared once we had consoles with online capability and HDD developers would get lazy and so it has proved to be.

When Konami took the p*ss last year with their half assed version of PES on the PS3 last year, I cancelled my pre order. I was interested in this, not now!!!

All the problems are with the PS3 version.

Nothing out of the ordinary for the 360 as Ubi games are usually crammed full of bugs we're all used to it by now

I guess the next ubi game will just be a disk full of unfinished source code.

The one after that will be a pamphlet with the design spec.

They can go fuck off if they can't be bothered to test their software before release.

I put in an insane amount of hours over the Easter weekend with Vegas 2 on my 360. I did not experience any problems with it over Live at all. There were plenty of servers, and I can't remember if I even noticed any lag on them. For me, it was an excellent experience. I *love* this game!

On my PS3 the online play is completely broken and also crashes you out to XMB, but apart from that the game has actually regressed from vegas 1 (which I loved). Shitter graphics, audio cut and pasted from the original (and they still have the repeating audio loop gunshot error for f*cks sake), severe lack of maps that actually contain anything remotely associated with Las Vegas, crap server browsing and features.
But you can run now (but not jump). Woot!
The original had its fair share of bugs that Ubisoft were going to fix with a patch promised but never delivered several months back, so don't hold your breath that many of the problems this turkey has will disappear.
Luckily it only cost me £25 and I can probably get that on trade in this Friday when it goes back to the shop and a nice copy of Condemned 2 takes its place.
This game could have been really great with a bit more design thought and beta testing, even the PS2 era graphics could have been forgiven.

all i have to say is that the game is a mess... people should not buy the next 2 Ubisoft games in order to protest against such lack of respect towards the consumer, multiplayer is unplayable.

Apart from all the other great things about CoD4, one that I appreciate the most is a very stable, smooth framerate. Something about the feel of moving your aim seems nicer in CoD4 aswell, acceleration maybe? Not the sensitivity as I've already turned that up in Vegas 2.

Can't say I've tried R6V2 online yet, still going back to the CoD for my online goodness.

(Im on ps3), I cant connect to servers. And when I do what is likely to happen its me leaving in 1-5 minutes. when I host a game no one appears because of connection problems. the HELI bug continues. I dont have lag. PLEASE give us a patch assholes that dont test games.
