Two Worlds II set for 17th September

Americas get game three days earlier.

Southpeak Interactive has announced the follow up to their 2007 free-roaming action-RPG Two Worlds will hit the UK on 17th Sept.

The PS3, Xbox 360 and PC release will come three days after a 14th September release for North and South American players, according to the announcement.

Two Worlds II was previously pushed back to a planned Spring 2010 release after being originally announced for winter 2009. Developer TopWare has given assurances that this sequel offers much more content than previously planned DLC for the first Two Worlds.

We weren't that fond of the original Two Worlds, knocking it for clunky Olde English dialogue and "dull hack-and-slash RPG combat".

Perhaps this game will get more than the 7/10 Alan Wake got?!

Looking forward to this, had a good amount of time to get the polish that may help some people get past graphical errors and enjoy it like many did the first.

In the case of Alan Wake you can polish a turd as much as you like but it's still a turd ;_)

I actually bought Two Worlds only a few months ago (found a really cheap GOTY version of it) and it ran wonderfully on my Radeon 5870 while looking exquisite. I was surprised at how good the game actually was, once I could look past the horrendous voice-overs and flawed faction system. Huge open world (with no loading times), lots and lots of quests, lots and lots of armours (which I love), semi-interesting story..

I'm looking forward to this sequel!

Hmm, Von Adder/mkreku's comments make me think I might have missed a trick by not picking this up first time around. If it's September until the sequel, maybe I'll give the original a go first.

This game will need more coverage up until that point.
There is ample time for South Peak to hit the ground running and erase all existance of the first game by by making this the stellar title the first game pitched itself as.

Until then,I'll just stand over there with my arms folded...watching, waiting...hoping

mkreku, the first one ran quite well on PC, there were problems on XBOX because of the development process.
The second one appears to be optimized well for all three platforms. It also appears to be more mature title, in a sense that devs know what they're doing this time.
I saw the game a month ago and it looks stunning. If the gameplay is anything like the graphics it's going to be the best open world RPG of all times.
