Two Worlds gets second batch of DLC News

Xbox 360 News by Robert Purchese

4 April, 2008

Two Worlds has another bundle of downloadable content available on Live Marketplace.

It costs 600 Points (GBP 5.10 / EUR 7.20), is called Curse of Souls, and only really caters to those of you doing Two Worlds online.

Inside it is the town of Tharnburg, which is a pleasant place split into two distinct halves. One area has lots of shops to by pretty frocks and things in, and the other part has a gladiatorial arena where you can fight and kill your friends.

Like the Tainted Blood content added in March, Curse of Souls has 35 fresh quests to embark on and sounds menacing.

Two Worlds is due an expansion pack next year too, dubbed The Temptation, which we think is rather ironic.

Pop over to our original Two Worlds review to find out why.

Wow, the word "buy" is spelled wrong in an article written by "Rob Purchese". All this irony is going to make my head explode!

The game does seem to have a cult following.

If you can past the problems it seems to be very rewarding according to some of my friends. I never got past the demo :)

This game was possibly the worst pile of rubbish I've had the misfortune of playing in a long time.

I've been playing it a lot recently...some of the technical problems are appalling - the framrate, for example - but its not that bad. If they could fix this in a later release it might help.

Its really not *that* bad if you stick at it - reminds me more of Diablo than Oblivion though. The world is pretty huge as well.

If you can manage with the technical problems and sit through the dreadful voice acting, then the game is indeed quite enjoyable. It has a lot of features that should have been included in Oblivion and does a lot of things better. However, the PC seems to be getting a huge pirate-esque expansion where you can even control your own ship, while the 360 is getting nothing but these rather expensive mutliplayer additions. I guess that's fine if you enjoyed the multiplayer aspects, but is the actual expansion coming to the 360 as well?
