Two more Xbox Originals on the way
Spyro and Guilty Gear here on Monday.
Microsoft is popping The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning and Guilty Gear X2 #Reload on the Xbox Originals list on Monday. Each game will be priced at 1200 Microsoft Points (GBP 10.20 / EUR 14.40).
Guilty Gear X2 #Reload is the stylised 2D fighter famed for its anime looks, over-the-top moves and heavy metal personality. This was the first time it appeared on Xbox, and it boasted futuristic head-to-head battles on strange online service called Live.
Metacritic scores it fairly well, but sadly it must have escaped our attention back in 2002.
The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, on the other hand, flapped its little purple wings in an effort to reinvent a rather tired but cherished series. Failed a bit, mind you, but did so with visual flair and a lovely combo system.
Sierra is busy rethinking Spyro again for the latest consoles as we speak, and the results are already looking very swish indeed.
Pop over to our roundup of the Sierra spring break to see what we thought of it.

Who actually decides which games go on Xbox originals and PS1 originals on PSN? These guys need to be fired!

Why no KOTOR? Or something that actually is worth the points/download...
Guilty Gear is alright but Spyro...
Such a bizarre selection recently.

Please, Microsoft, just add this one last stunning game to the Xbox emulator and then release it on Xbox Originals for the benefit of those people who don't own the boxed version.

It would be nice to have the whole Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon series up though. And Morrowind GOTY. And Thief

I know, thats what I meant, those two are the only nice ones, also Metal Arms (I think) as well being a good one.

Nope, and its the reason I think it isn't being released in Europe, despite what every website is reporting. I reckon theres something up with the emulator and the PAL version of the game (Although, if that was the case why couldn't they just use the NTSC version for XBO, even if it does stitch those of us up with disc copies).

Nope. We need Serious Sam, Riddick, and Stranger's Wrath added as well, then it'd be complete
Without those, and RSC2 obviously, the BC is looking more than a little unfinished.

There are some might odd choices for Xbox Originals. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory was one of the finest games on the system and Metal Arms was a bit of an under-appreciated near-gem, then we get bloody Stubs and a sodding Gauntlet 'reimagineeration'.
Mixed bag to say the least.
AND WE STILL DON'T HAVE DREAMFALL IN EUROPE
