Turtles in Time coming to 360 and Wii

It's a remake of the original arcade game.

A remake of arcade title Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time is on the way for Xbox 360.

That's according to 1UP, which reports the game was on show at an event in New York last week.

Two stages were playable at the event. The game is still in the alpha phase but "from the looks of it, it's already fairly far along" apparently.

Turtles in Time was also released for the SNES but this version is said to be based on the arcade machine. "One difference between the two is that Tokka and Rahzar (from the film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II) were bosses on the pirate ship stage, and not Bebop and Rocksteady," writes 1UP. "That could mean certain elements are omitted, such as the battle with Rat King and the Technodrome." Heavens forfend.

A Wii version of Turtles in Time is also said to be in development, but it's not clear whether it will also be a remake of the arcade game. Release dates for the titles have yet to be announced.
