I'll be happy to have some of that. Like those shots with the light beaming in.

If this is ingame and not prerenderd (yes, not only sony does mockups you know), then this is definitly looking good.

If by "prerendered" you mean "taken at an impossibly high resolution just to give off a fake impression of perfect AA" then yes. Otherwise, probably no. ;)

Other sites are saying the footage shown wasn't in-game.

I'm interested though, if only because of the fact that it's Silicon Knights. Exactly what kind of game is it?

The original shots have been taken at 1280 x 720 - the resolution of a HD TV. No reason why they shouldn't be screenshots...

I love the art style and animation of that. Here's hoping.

EDIT: Talking about the trailer here, of course...

Hmm, I guess it's hard to tell now that EG's screenshots are resized so we can properly view them. Damn you EG, change it back! ;P

Even if most of these are FMV sequences (certainly no gameplay shots), the style and athmosphere are very, very appealing. The choice of colors alone rocks. What genre is this?

Hmm. May have to get me a 360, after all.

Thats one thing about next gen i am not liking, is that you can't tell between video sequence and in game since there is hardly a difference as far as screenies are concerned, anyway i like the look of this, i may get it on its release :)

Looking increasingly like the matrix. An army of robots created by you and then going renegade when they develope sentience. Alternatively it could simple be that these things are the result of over cyboring of people i.e. this is what happens when you give in to augmentation for augmentations sake. The trailer suggests the latter as the main character seemed very reluctant to kill the monster. Almost as if he knew who it was once....

karstux:What genre is this?

Its a cross between RPG with leveling up system and hack and slash ala Dynasty warriors.

Many RPG purists didnt like the games huge focus on slashing a lot of enemies. I think this hybrid could be very entertaining indeed.

For all their suing Epic, this looks just like UT to me.

In terms of graphical styling. Gameplay wise, it appears to be a cut-down Devil May Cry.

And Eternal Darkness was so nice, as well. With original settings, too

Edit: cocked up my anchor tag

Looks like Unreal Championship - RPG, which could be awesome.

UC2 was one of my favorite multiplayer games on the Xbox and the chance to use that same sort of gameplay in an RPG is a good idea in my book.
