The biggest possible achievement in terms of "best skater video" made in THPG would probably be one that actually looks like real skating. I just don't think it's doable.

For "no reason"? Milking a once-promising franchise to death in a sloppy and cynical way - combined with the emergence of a really good competitor who shows how it can be done properly - results in rightful damnation here.

The intro sequence of the THPG demo alone shows you how far removed from a true skateboarding audience this series has become. As a skater, I found its mixture of pretentious pseudo-coolness and mindless Jackass attitude simply embarrasing.

THPS was never about serious skating, and they tried some experimental stuff that didn't work, and humbly admitted that and made an improvement. I applaud them for it, they've made an effort.
