The combination of clever puzzles and action in tomb raider is certainly an attractive one still for me.

I like environments which you can physically interact with, like many of the puzzles in Zelda.

However I really want to see these devices applied to something with the scale of Assasin's Creed.

Too much to ask? possibly.

not sure what to make of it, lacks the lush foliage of uncharted, and the rather moody dim lighting is somewhat drowned out by her over illuminated skintones :P

It looks shiny.

But blown away by Uncharted in every respect.

Lara looks like a toy in a shiny diorama rather than photorealistic - and the shadowing leaves a lot to be desired.

I guess, though, being a multi-format game, it has to be developed down to the lowest common denominator.

Can you shush =P Who cares about high fancy graphics? I think as long as the gameplay is excellent, and the graphics are at least above average. I'll be buying the tomb raider game.

Plus TR: U actually have bodys that don't disapear and footprint being washed away by the mud. Also her clothes being dirtied by blood or mud. Do I see Uncharted have anything like that?

I like the shots. Not from a technical stand point as such but the implication of where the game is focused. Tomb environments, puzzles and not a single goon with a gun to kill. Nice.

Looks far superior to Uncharted, not undecided between cartoon and realism and full of oversatured color.

The exploration/puzzling will be far superior to Uncharted, as was TR:Legend. The best looks better than ever.

Uncharted graphics are too cartoonish for some of us, including me. I prefer more realistic graphics and animations such as Assassin's Creed and this Tomb Raider seems to fit my preference.

To be honest, I think it looks a bit generic and dull. Not to say that it will be so, but certainly the images aren't exciting at all for me. It looks like the environment of every game ever.

As for Underworld it's looking good and as DrDamn mentioned not a single goon with a gun, yay!

true - and uncharted doesn't do anything that the 360 couldn't handle. There is no "my console is better than yours" anymore, its now "my console has X yours has Y and we both have Z..." which is so pointless to argue about that it makes my fillings hurt.

Anyway Love the look of this - can't wait ^^

I wonder if Crystal Dynamics have finally got the engine running natively at 720p now? The previous two games ran at 600p but still had a disappointingly juddery framerate and some horrid blurry text that betrayed the fact it was being upscaled.

I still think this looks great. Legend is easily one of the best games I've got on my 360 and Anniversary (PC) was epic as well. High hopes for Underworld!

Doesn't look like she's had any implants or anything either, which is a good sign for Crystal Dynamics.

I'm surprised at the cynicism on display here. I think this looks excellent. Anniversary was outstanding, and I hope this keeps up that good work.
