Tomb Raider: Underworld DLC delayed

Due to "unexpected technical issue".

Eidos has announced the new downloadable content for Tomb Raider: Underworld has been delayed, blaming "an unexpected technical issue".

The Beneath the Ashes pack is exclusive to Xbox 360 and features two new levels for Lara to adventure through. It was supposed to appear on Live tomorrow - but something's come up.

"An unexpected technical issue means that Beneath the Ashes will not be available to download on 10th February as planned," the company said in a statement.

"We apologise for this delay and we are doing everything we can to bring you this exciting new content for Tomb Raider: Underworld as soon as possible."

There's no word on just how soon that'll be exactly. In the meantime, here are some screenshots of Beneath the Ashes to wistfully enjoy.

Well the main game was a bit buggy anyway so no surprises there.

Has this not already been delayed once?

I can't help wondering if the "unexpected technical issue" was the Xbox 360... I mean why no PC version? That is, after all, the best version... it even runs in HD!!! ;)

What's a PC (I can't understan the use of the word "PC" like it is some kinda standard) ?

The "Pee Cee" I have at home, doesn't run anything in HD.

My PC at home barely handles SD. Perhaps Darren is handing out free upgrades? Where's my GTXGT2000++ PCX card Darren?

well, thank god it wasn't an expected technical issue, those are worse i hear

Bring it out for the PS3 too and I might even buy your under-selling game in its entirety...otherwise I won't buy any version. I get the feeling that this game has suffered from having little chopped bits out to give back later as DLC.

Not sure the game suffered I felt it was just the right length, and for the record I really enjoyed it, it reminded me of the first one ( in a good way)

I liked it too, but man is it looking tired now. Kicking pots for bonuses? In a 2008 release?

I really enjoyed Underworld as well. I love Tomb Raider's combination of epic environments and clever puzzles. But bring back boss battles in the next one! Nothing gets you going as much as a throwdown with some uber nasty thing.

    I hope Lara is fine!
Did some breast enlargement operation go wrong or something?
Can we do anything to help?

I'm so worried guess I won't sleep tonight!

As mentioned in the Top 50 games of the year article, surely this game is what TR fans like myself have been crying out for? Greater focus on platforming, minimal combat (despite those annoying spiders/bats), no QTE's and no boss battles? I think it's brilliant so far.
