TOCA 3 PSP demo News

PSP News by Tom Bramwell

9 February, 2007

Is TOCA Race Driver 3 Challenge any good? We quite liked it. But hey, why should you take our word for it when you can download a demo? Apart from to help ensure our continued employment?

Out today on YourPSP.com, the TRD3 Challenge demo lets you try out three of the game's skill tests in the Ultima GTR, Opel Vectra GTS V8 and Mercedes Benz W196.

There's a steering control event (drive through the cones), a duel (where the idea is to overtake an opponent) and a no-damage task (where you have to try and finish a race without taking hits from aggressive opposition).

The full game is due out on 16th February, and as TOCA fans will note is fairly distinct from its PS2/Xbox counterpart, so if you like a bit of handheld driving and fancy something new, why not read our review for more info?

Difficult to be innovative with a new machine that plays mp3s, videos and displays photos, huh?

Bashing Sony is as much a challenge as bashing Bush adminstration or stealing a candy from a 2 year old kid. Good job all around, haters!

You need to meet my son. There is no way you'd be able to take candy from him. He'd kick your ass.

They don't have the Toca 3 demo yet but you can get the Medal of Honour demo etc etc without going through the official channels.

In all fairness, he did say "2 year old kid".
I doubt a 2 year old will kick anyone's ass.

My son is 2 and if you tried to take sweets away from him there'd be trouble:)

It was a joke, I didn't mean he'd literally kick your ass....SHEEESH (killermonkey)

I'm hoping your comment wasn't aimed at me as at no point does my earlier post bash Sony. It isn't the machine's fault if developers choose the easy way out...

Though I'm sure TOCA will be fun for a lot of people, for me desktop entertainment (ie, full 3D experiences) doesn't translate too well to the handheld format.

TedBaker, no it wasn't really directed specifically at anyone but more like to everyone :)

What's the betting the demo requires 3.10 or 3.11 firmware?
