Three WiiWare demos released
Darklord, NyxQuest, Bit.Trip Beat.
Nintendo has made good on its promise to release demos of WiiWare games by uploading three of them to the European Wii Shop.
However, it sounds like they are only temporary treats, as the small print mentions they will be free to download until 31st January 2010.
The demos in question, which should be available now, are a six-level version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord, a one-level slab of NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits, and a little bit of Bit.Trip Beat.
Check out our reviews of FFCC and NyxQuest if you need more help. They both cost 1000 Wii Points (7 quid, 10 Euro), while Bit.Trip Beat, also reviewed, is a less exorbitant 600 WP (£4.20 / €6 approx).
There's more info on how to get the demos over on the Nintendo website.

So wait a second. What happens after January 31st? Will they disappear, or will they become paid demos like Phantasy Star 0? The latter sounds difficult for games that cost less than 15€ to begin with, so I guess it will be the former.
Damn, I sure wish Nintendo (and Sony too) would just make trials mandatory like for XBLA.

It's certainly boosted it by one, as I was unsure but bought it last night after playing the demo. Really excellent game too.
