actually if you watch the recent videos on gametrailers they explain that what you see in those shots is from just 4 months development work and does not at all represent the final graphics or gameplay. it actually looks pretty cool - you can even totally customise your gun including swapping out about 10 parts on it and you can even give it a custom paint job.

the game won't be out til 2009, and i'm still quite impressed with what they've accomplished in just 4 months. they say it's a "mystery FPS" in which you discover more about what's going on as you play the game, including those red phantom things which apparently control the robot enemies or something.
