The Sims 3 gets late night expansion
Hot-tubs, but no time machines.
The PC and Mac versions of The Sims are getting a special Late Night expansion, EA has announced at its Redwood showcase.
The pack lets players hit the town after sundown, mix with celebrities at parties, go boozing in bars, splash around in hot-tubs and even tour with their bands.
Enjoy yourself too much, though, and your night might end early - bouncers will refuse entry to anyone who doesn't keep their attitude in check. Of course, they could also become a vampire, keeping track of their vampiric family history and passing on their affliction to other players. Vampires don't get turned away from clubs, do they. We've all seen Blade.
The expansion should be launching in the Autumn, so get your sims dolled up and put on their drinking shoes. Or make sure that they're ready for vampirism by being terribly celibate and non-threatening in a way which excites girls aged 11-14.

I don't want to go out and meet celebrities, I want to live in a depressing council estate with corner shops and youths who loiter threateningly after dark, and once a week go out to the club, have casual sex with some random person, and end up with both parties regretting it the following morning.
GET ON IT, MAXIS.
