    This is very much in keeping with, how shall I put it, "German gamer" taste?

    I heartily agree that the above comment deserves a certain amount of flaming, as German gaming also brought us a nice-looking thing or two (Crysis...), but still, having spent quite a while in Germany earlier in my life I do partly support my own statement.
    edit: hence I virtually +1 myself. Keep that in mind when my karma is at -9 - it's actually at -8! Woohoo!

    Hopefully it plays similar to that of Rise of an Empire as I quite liked that game more so than Heritage of Kings.

    This is one of the nicest looking games I've seen in a long time. I think it really helps the immersion when your little dudes are yomping through thick grass, instead of strolling across manicured golf greens. I hope the grass slowly gets trampled as your production ramps up :)

    I loved Settlers 2. Liked Settlers 3. Can't remember the last one I played (think it was 6) but it was very fast paced and more attack oriented. I hope this one goes back to it's roots.
