MAX CHAIN!!! Xbox 360 = total win! I'm so happy more people are gonna be able to experience Ikaruga, it's such an incredibly designed game. Everyone with a 360, fans of shooters or not must own this game!

EEE is available on the PC as well (I think it's even freeware) - I tried it once and I had absolutely no idea what was going on.

Interesting observation, bengali...Seems Microsoft's true next gen console is XBLA. They are a software company after all:-)
Oh and...footage from the Ninja shmup (Omega Five):

Some notes from someone who played most of these titles for a while already (all but Ikaruga have been or are right now available for anyone lucky enough to have access to Partnernet :)

Exit has about 220 stages right from the start. Dont know if that's just the PSP's 100 plus the downloadable ones or if new ones are included. Hopefully the later, as the download ones simply are too hard for all but extreme hardcore-and-no-life-besides people.

E4 uses the same mechanics as Every Extend Extra, but is very much different in the application. The levels are gone, you now play one of four "scenarios" either for a set time or unlimited, depending on how good you are. Also gone are the various different colour schemes, mostly it's black with nice effects. An there's a new R4 mode that's basically a Robotron-like shooter bit minus the Robotron shooting controls . Personally, I think it's much more mainstream-friendly (in a good way) and I prefer it over the PSP game.

Omega Five is decidedly meh, standard horitonzal shooter fare.

XBLA is really lacking in good titles, this once again underlines how bland it all is.

Exit was really good on the PSP - if only the PSP's UMD drive hadn't been so awful, then I might still have it. As it is, I'll be giving Exit another go when it comes out on Live Arcade - hopefully not before Puzzle Quest!

I just hope they've re-tooled the *immensely* annoying ringing phone that starts off the levels and sends Mr Esc on his way to the next burning calamity.

"Standard horitonzal (?) shooter fare" and "meh" in the same sentence. Does not compute.

By the way, I presume by now you've all heard about Samurai Shodown 2 being confirmed for an XBLA release?

Seems like a lot of psp titles are coming out on xbla now... something makes me wonder why sony aren't making more efforts to keep hold of their developers and get these released for PSN...

Some treasure rep actually said in an interview that they were thinking of doing Radiant Silvergun on XBLA after Ikaruga was released.
