I am really interested in this. Too bad I don't own a PS3. Since the engine of this is already available for the PC I hope that the game will find it's way on to the PC as well.

Really intriguing...
I haven't seen the trailers though, does the guy only walk when you say so or is he always moving?

Great! Video gaming needs more titles like this if it ever wants to broaden its appeal.

I do really like the look of this, though even with LittleBigPlanet it's not enough for me to fork out the cash. More games like this please Sony and you might make a customer of me yet.
Assuming they don't come to PC/360 before then ;-)

@Les

Do we really need more broadening?
I'd rather gems like this be the exception. Whenever companies and corporations broaden they usual forget the people who got them there and open the assembly line.....it's a fact.

"Do we really need more broadening?"

Maybe we don't, but the industry needs to grow to satisfy shareholders.

"I'd rather gems like this be the exception."

I didn't mean exact copies of this game, just more gems.

The industry already make more money per year than the movie and record industry. The shareholders should be satisfied right now. Videogames is already mainstream.

What really needs to be accomplished is for the industry to make the media realize and accept that this is a thriving multi-billion dollar industry...so stop demonizing it.

actually what needs to change is the view of the game industry. sales figures n shares will not do that.

anyways, this game looks pretty much mind blowing. im looking forward to playing it and feeling completely stoned!

Revenue is higher than that of Hollywood (box office movies), don't think profit is... But as far as I'm aware, game sales are nowhere near e.g. DVD revenues let alone combined with music revenues (CDs as well as online music purchases). Might be mistaken though.

But video games, like you mention later in your post, are definitely not mainstream. The subset of people buying them is much smaller than that of DVDs and CDs nor are they recognised as such by the general public.
