Take-Two boss gets cross about GTAV

Rants at analyst. Plus: LA Noire still exists.

Take-Two refused to comment on the status of Grand Theft Auto V during its latest financial results conference call, but did say that LA Noire is still in development.

"We're not going to announce it. We're not going to announce when we're going to announce it," big boss Strauss Zelnick told an analyst when asked about GTAV during the call (thanks vg247).

"And we're not going to announce a strategy about announcing it or about when we're going to announce it either, or about the announcement strategy surrounding the announcement of the strategy," he added, not at all madly.

One game Take Two has already announced, of course, is Team Bondi's LA Noire, but CEO Ben Feder would only say: "It's in development, nothing to announce today. When we have more to announce, we'll announce it.

"We're continuing to develop it and we think it's pretty exciting and innovative. When we have more to share, we'll share it."

While we know nothing about GTAV (and get the sense there won't be an announcement any time soon), we do know a few bits about LA Noire, which was originally announced in 2006.

You can pick those out on our LA Noire gamepage, which includes a massive interview with Brendan McNamara, where we begin by joking that development will presumably take less time than his last game, The Getaway. Whoops.
