Superstars V8 demo now on Xbox Live

Online races for up to 16 players promised.

A playable demo for Superstars V8 Next Challenge is now available for Gold members on Xbox Live. Silver members must wait until 9th February.

As you may have guessed, the new game will let you drive the V8 production class cars of the official Superstars Championship. Expect "incredible" vehicle models, "photo-realistic" environments and online multiplayer races for up to 16 players. Superstars V8 Next Challenge is in development for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and will launch later this month. An exact date is yet to be announced.

ok tried this,my diesel skoda sounds more like a V8 than this game. Also found the handling a bit unpredictable, afraid its not for me,will stick with Forza

Just did a few races, demo is 3 laps around Monza, 19 cars on the grid, you can change assists and difficulty.

Like the previous poster said the handling's odd, lots of understeer and no ability to change the sensitivity in the demo.

Ai seems very good, nice and clean overtakes, no rear ending in heavy braking zones. If you select the wet race a dry line forms as the race goes on which is pretty cool.

If they sort out the controller issues (didn't try the wheel) it could be half decent.

Weird steering makes it overly difficult to actually keep the cars in a straight line. No sense of what the tyres are doing either.

Graphics are budget, as is the audio. Wet weather is nice to see in a racing game, but they havent made much of it IMO.

I'm pretty sure that its just the demo that doesn't allow for the car tweaking but credit where credits due, 16 player multiplayer should be cool, even Forza doesn't have that.
I hadn't noticed the wet/ dry track until MontyBrewster pointed it out, sure enough the track grip changes as the race develops, nicely done.

Is this the multiplayer demo of the single player demo I tried last year? If so then good luck to the devs in selling the game to the punters because I thought it was a massive pile of mediocrity. I'm struggling to remember specifics but I recall the handling being awful and the graphics and audio bland.

This isn't the same Superstars V8 that's been out for at least six months, is it? Or is it a sequel?

Just had a shot of this and I actually quite like it!

Reminds me of TOCA on the PS1, but with nicer graphics (although it's no GRID).

Would consider a purchase if it's released at a reasonable price.
