Is there any point?

SSBB is the pinacle of SSB games - anything else is just not up to scratch.

Melee was the pinnacle; Brawl was more of the same and as such I haven't touched it since release.

I don't think I could stand playing the original again. Too much has been added to the newer games.

I've been waiting for this to show up since VC was announced. Despite Melee clearly being a better game, I have pined for the original for years since getting shot of my N64.

Pricey but worth it for a nostalgic-if-not-a-bit-basic fighter :o)

Thankfully I have some Nintendo points laying around, because my son will go nuts if I don't get this for him!

I still prefer Super Smash Bros Melee, and I always will, but it's always nice to have the option of buying the original. Good stuff!

I'm still hoping for a DSi Virtual Console though, so I can play this (and other N64 games that'd work with that number of buttons) on the move.

I disagree - they all have different quirks and levels.
