I enjoyed Super Monkey Ball a great deal the first time. Ever since then it's been losing its charm.

The controls on the iPhone version of monkey ball are not gimmicky! There is no better game for tilt controls than a game where you actually have to tilt the world to move the monkey around. I played the first iphone monkey ball from start to finish and it is still my favorite iphone game to date.

I read reviews on the original and a lot of them said that the controls let the game down? Is this true, or is it a decent port of the Wii game?

I might have to give the next game a go if its a success.

I tried the first on a friends Touch, enjoyed it...actually since I just bought a nice new 32gb one I might go and download it.

The controls definitely take some time to get used to, but once you get the feel for it it works great. The reviews who say that the game is unplayable because of the controls must have given up after 5 minutes or so. But don't trust my word for it: there is a free demo version of the first game on iTunes, so you can see if it works for you.

Tilting is a bit rubbish on an LCD screen with limited viewing angles.

The Gamecube controller's analogue stick was ideal, but what I really want to play Monkey Ball with is the banana-joystick of the original Naomi arcade game. How come we never got to see that over here?

Whenever I'm alone or depressed,playing such funny and comic game is the best stress-busting thing.So I need to keep some such games in my iphone.

I would be if it were true. I just bought this game for my shiny new iPod Touch, and like it so far. But the LCD screen is a huge step backwards from the AMOLED screen I'm used to on my phone.
