Super-deluxe Dead Space pack unveiled
Costs the US equivalent of 75 pounds.
EA has presented the internet with an Ultra Special Edition of Dead Space that costs a chunky USD 150.
Not only will this be a limited run of 1000 copies, but inside is a veritable treasure trove. There's the Dead Space Downfall animated film, some lithograph pictures, an art book written and coloured-in by the developer plus a graphic novel.
There's also an Ishimura crew patch, which reminds us of the Michael Jackson patch we used to have on our coat. On top of all this will be some bonus DVD content and some very fancy packaging.
Dead Space Ultra Special Edition is only available from the US EA Store at the moment. We're checking European plans.
Dead Space is due for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 on 24th October, which is shaping up to be a very busy Friday indeed.

Reminds me of the good old days of PC games contained in half a tree, with a manual made using the other half. Not sure if I'll bother with this one though, even if it gets released here.

Probably cos, despite what looks like a lot of very thoughtful effort into atmospherics, it's just-another-shooter.
Obviously Alien inspired (especially the audio - magic), I had chills at some of the clips I saw outside in space, awesome. Rest of it just looks like pretty scary FPS shit though.
Bugger.
