Strong Bad gets WiiWare, PC date News

Telltale Games says the first episode of WiiWare and PC adventure series Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People will be available on 11th August.
Homestar Ruiner is the first of five planned instalments (one each month) based on the apparently funny Homestar Runner animated internet series. Confusing, but keep up.
Strong Bad, a boxer who wears a mask, confesses he is "charming", "suave", "muscular", and "awesome". His plan, in episode one, is to win a Race to the End of the Race - a scheme which gets messed up when an unwanted visitor comes to stay.
Telltale, of Sam & Max renown, is working closely with the Homestar Runner creators to make sure everything is accurate and hilarious.
PC pre-orders for the entire Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People are open on the Telltale website now. One episode is USD 8.95 (GBP 4.50), or the entire series can be snaffled up for USD 34.95 (GBP 17.50).
On WiiWare, each episode costs 1000 Wii Points (approx GBP 7.00 / EUR 10.00).

That pricing's a little bit harsh on Wii owners, isn't it? Most XBLA game that are also available on PC are about the same price, as far as I'm aware.
Not an issue for me, as I don't have a Wii and this game will probably run happily on my very much not-gaming-grade laptop (which runs Sam & Max just fine), so I was always going to buy the PC version, but it doesn't seem right. Edit: Hang on, I've realized why there's a price difference, it's the whole "buy in Dollars on PC" vs "buy in Euros/Pounds on console" thing again. Apologies for being slow.

Notice it's in USD 1000 wii points is 10 USD, so it's not that huge a mark-up... UNTIL you get to Europe... |

Also games are always cheaper on PC than consoles, take Orange Box for example.
Don't know why, just seems to be. |

Boxed retail games are cheaper on the PC because they don't have to pay a licensing fee to the platform owner like console titles do. I'd imagine this also applies to downloadable games, but for some reason these often end up selling for the same amount across all platforms (in Dollars, at least).
