Street Fighter Sackboys imminent?
Pictures certainly suggest as much.
As if Sephiroth and Solid Snake were not enough, Sony seems to have lined up a Street Fighter IV quartet for Sackboy treatment ahead of the game's 20th February release.
Discovered by a Spanish PlayStation forum, the images of cute wickle Chun Li, Guile, Zangief and Ryu (no filthy Ken) in LittleBigPlanet digs were subsequently pulled "as requested by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe", but Ripten managed to preserve them And what handsome little creatures they are.
Pending official comment from Capcom and Sony, however, which we couldn't get at the time of writing, we'll have to acknowledge that they could be the extremely well-worked stylings of a handy amateur.
Then again, as 1UP points out, the original press release announcing the Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix release date and "Season of Street Fighter" said:
"Capcom will also have another 'little' surprise coming to the PlayStation Network later in the holiday season."
Given the developer's obsession with fan service, and Sony's with the same, Street Fighter Sackboys are probably barely the half of it.

PS - are Sephiroth/Snake available on the UK PSN, or would I need a US account to get them?

Quite, including the 6000 people in the LittleBigPlanet Level Makers group or the hundreds of thousands of people who bought the game.

DLC does not shift units. LBP is a technical marvel, but these days that doesn't shift units either.

Of course it has no bloody personality otherwise that would kill the sack's customization.
