Street Fighter IV now Game on Demand

Download it directly for just under 20 quid.

Superfly beat-em-up Street Fighter IV has joined the Xbox Marketplace library of Games on Demand.

That means you can download it directly to your Xbox 360. The game is priced at £19.99.

Our US counterparts have a different addition to the library this week in the shape of Fallout 3. There's no word on when, or indeed whether, the game will also make it to the European Marketplace.

Still, Street Fighter IV should keep you going - we're big fans here at Eurogamer, with the game scoring 10/10 in our review.

    That wouldn't be too mad an asking price if it wasn't for Super Street Fighter IV just round the corner...

    Well worth the asking price of 20 quid imo, even if there is a new SF IV around the corner. Regardless of how many new characters are in the new game, most people will still pick Ryu or Ken.

    Just got beat up by kids with more time than me, so traded it in within a few days.

    I can get this cheaper from Dodgy Dave down the pub. Sure, it comes in a smashed case and Dave has gunshot wounds. And there is the problem of Dodgy Dave being wanted for multiple crimes.

    Really good price I think. Already have it though - must get back to it, didn't play it nearly enough because I lost all the time :(

    any idea what will be the price point of Super Street Fighter ? They are not going to charge the usual £40 now are they ?

    I expect £30 as a maximum so online retailers can discount it to near £25 rendering this GOD release pointless if u ask me. MS should def revise the prices of GoD

    I remember Capcom stating during a video preview that owners of the original SFIV would be getting some bonus unlocks in SSFIV. I don't know if this is still true if anyone can confirm?

    Also, PS3 owners can pick up the game for £14.99 atm http://hm v.com/hmvweb/displayProductDeta...

    Why don't companies make digital download prices more competitive? You can pick this up online for under £16 at the moment, including delivery (£15.95 @ My Memory) - why spend £4 more to download it, and have no physical product to show for your cash and/or sell on in the future? Madness....
  • TeaFiend #13 2 years ago

    @flaming-carrot:
    because they cannot undercut retailers. Same reason as always.
  • Lamb #14 2 years ago

    I think they could undercut the retailers if the game was over a year old and SFIV must be getting there especially with a new skin job coming out that plays faster. Never understood their money grubbing ways with this series.
  • Ranger101 #15 2 years ago

    @alimokrane - ssfiv is a 'budget' release. So it's clocking in on average of around ~£25 with an RRP of US$40.
    Capcom figured that since their development costs had already been convered by a massive amount in release of sf4, they could afford to sell this at a lower price point in order to make it a tempting purchase for people/casuals who had already bought sf4.
  • muscleblade #16 2 years ago

    @Lamb

    it doesnt play faster, but it adds 8 new characters, bonus stages, backgrounds and new multiplayer modes. Its a new game and it cost less than a regular retail game so its a fair deal imo.

    "MS should def revise the prices of GoD"

    Funny

    @ muscleblade +1

    I remember the arcade version of SFII and the three SNES games made from it. For every new edition its nice that they added more to the game but an addon is not a new game its DLC. And it seems they are missing the boat on this one by not releasing it as such and instead sticking to their old formula.
