Capcom has told Eurogamer that console and PC versions of Street Fighter IV will arrive this winter, but not this year.
The official line is "winter '09", which means early next year according to a spokesperson, although there's nothing more specific just yet.
If you can't wait that long, then head to the Eurogamer Expo in London next week, where we'll be offering hands-on time with Street Fighter IV on Xbox 360 and arcade machines of the same. Capcom will be bringing playable copies of Resident Evil 5 along, too.

Q1 2009 is starting to look almost as good as Q4 2008.
Resident Evil 5, SF4, Bayonetta, Bionic Commando. Capcom prefer to release their games after the holiday season and i really appreciate that they do.

Excellent. Virtua Fighter 5 is showing its age. It'll be good to have a bit of fresh 2D fighting goodness for the dark evenings.

i'm going to have to give arcade-in-a-box a visit and sort me out with a custom stick before this comes out, i played too much vf5 on my hori ex2 and now one of the buttons doesnt work. i'd rather pay for top quality than buy another cheap piece of rubbish, and i really don't like playing fighting games without an arcade stick.
