Street Fighter IV Collector's Edition News

Capcom has announced plans to release a special Collector's Edition version of Street Fighter IV on both PS3 and Xbox 360.
Due out in Europe and Australia when the game launches on 20th February, the SF IV CE includes figures, an anime film, strategy guides and exclusive access to downloadable content.
The figures will be limited edition versions of Ryu and Crimson Viper "positioned within the familiar settings of the 'crowded Chinese downtown'".
Meanwhile, a second bonus disc offers a feature-length HD anime movie created for SF IV, and a selection of the pre-release trailers.
Then there's a mini strategy guide in the style of a comic art book, detailing moves and bios for Viper, Abel, El Fuerte and Rufus.
And that's before you consider the exclusive DLC, details of which we have none. Special outfits? Stages? Or more traditional stuff like gamer pictures?
We'll see. And look out for extensive hands-on with the console versions early next year.

There was a time when detailed move lists were expected in the game manual for ALL characters except unlockables/bosses. Now we have to pay for a limited edition to get move lists for 4 characters? I know packaging and manuals for games have gone down hill but this is pretty disgusting |

I know packaging and manuals for games have gone down hill but this is pretty disgusting " And there was a time before that when you didn't get any of the moves for anyone, unless you were lucky enough to come across an arcade machine that had a moves card stuck on it. Back to the old days of discovering moves by randomly mashing stuff in, or hitting the old Bulliten Boards (gamefaqs). |

well kudos for the anime that is chucked in with the pack (I.G?). but....
the box art is hideous by capcoms normal standards, is this capcom Usa doing odd things again? |

£70!! The game itself is only £30 on play. I'd rather spend the extra £40 on a new stick. Hopefully the new ones will surpass the Hori sticks i.e. DOA4/EX2.

Yeah, how about they do a new version of their fighting stick instead for the LE? I have no problems with 2d fighters on a Saturn pad but on the 360 I struggle to get through three bouts before I lose because Ryu refuses to hadoken!

Im one of the mosthardcore Street Fighter fans I know, and usually go for this sort of stuff, but £70 is steep considering that aside from the game itself the content is a bit crap, and aimed at kids.
Figures? A watered down moves list? A Cartoon? How about: A full size combos and tactics book for ALL characters Two proper SFIV Joypads or One SFIV Joystick + Game Thats what I really wanted, not all this paper and dvd pap. |
