Stranglehold PC demo

Give a guy a gun.

John Woo's Stranglehold will be out on PC this Friday, 21st September, and Midway's released a demo to celebrate.

The 1.96GB gives you a taste of the first level, and reportedly includes content above and beyond the 360 demo. "Woo!"

As you all know from our 360 review, Stranglehold sees Chow Yun Fat reprise his Hard Boiled film role, Tequila, in a Max Payne-inspired action game that cost more than USD 30 million to make.

So, download the demo to see how it turned out, and revel in features like "Tequila time" and "sliding along tables even when you didn't mean to".

Along with lots of good stuff. And remember, there is no room for failure now - the innocent must die!

Much Better than the 360 version but shitty that you cant change resolution in the demo I mean, whats all that about being stuck at some insanely low res? looks shit on my 1680x1050 monitor (although it appears AA is on but still...)

    at £17.99 on-line I'll be buying it.

On a side noter dont you think that this a prime example of tha age old debate about game pricing being a load of balls. Here we have a "next gen game" developed accross 3x platforms yet they charge console owners £40-£50 where as for the exact same game on PC it can be had for 17.99 add to that that the PC version has to have additional coding to support all the different hardware configs and scalable graphics....its just proves that we get screwed when it comes to console game prices.

@BBIAJ - Dunno whether I can be bothered to download a demo of THAT size! Crikey! :o

It's still not a game I'd really want to play on the PC, certainly NOT with a keyboard and mouse; it's more suited to the consoles really but I do have the wireless 360 adaptor so I might check it out sometime during the week.

Still meh imo, and yeah, not being able to mess about with settings is a rubbish idea for a PC demo.

They don't need to pay a license fee to a platform holder with the PC version. Console gamers pay for their hardware in installments - the more games you buy, the more you pay for your console. ;p

They have to make the consol noobs pay for not being able to install drivers.

    And they call themselves hardcore!

Would have to completely disagree there the KB/M combo os far more acurate and responsive that a joypad could ever be. I have played bother versions
