Visually this reminds me very much of a kind of current gen Outcast.

Obviously this is meant to be between Anubis and Ori but how long can they keep leaving it in that static space? Since, Asgard die out...that is all I'm curious in; Playing a dying race as fragile as babies but will be levelling up and 'getting stronger' in the game? :|
Otherwise, love Stargate so look forward to it. |

I love me some stargate, this sounds like it cold be good.
Jaffa could be goodie or baddies, there are Goa uld subservient Jaffa and free Jaffa. |

Sounds like a good setting for an MMO in theory, but sticking to MMORPG cliches like character skill determining hits and progression being tied to phat lewt seems very short-sighted.
Perhaps it's just me, but I don't really see the point in doing a Stargate MMO if you're just going to make it a skin for WoW - personally I'd have thought that a tactical, skill-based MMOFPS would be a vastly better fit for the license. If nothing else, click-and-watch combat is going to get very dull, very fast if all you're ever fighting is Gao'uld and Jaffa. Also: playable Asgard? WTF?

I hope it's better than Matrix Online I played until my membership expire cause all the Events happened in US time. Thought I'd give another shot this month after a 3year absence and they've fired the animators, voice actors, story boardist guy the only thing left apparently is one guy writing the critical mission dialog. My problem with MMO's after this eperience is I think I paid arround £70 to play Matrix for arround 6months and your dependant on other players sticking with it or else you've flushed your money and time away.
I just wish that the single player Stargate game by them aussies was never left in publishing limbo |

Sucks Asgard are playable. Means their super tech superiority has to be nerfed for the balance with other races. Which is just dumb.

iv been waithing for this game nearly for a year know and its so close to beta time but tis is the first time iv seen gameplay footage and it looks awsome

I'd rather have seen the player able to choose to be some of the other humans from other planets. Being tied to Stargate Command is a bit restrictive, IMO, as I think it would be nice to play as a Vala-style freebooter or similar.
I once read an article that pointed out how US sci-fi is dominated by organisations compared to British sci-fi that's about the individual. SG1, Star Trek, Bayblon 5 - all official/military groups. Doctor Who, Quatermass, Blake's 7 - ragtag anti-establishment types. |
