Woops, that wasn't supposed to stay in the story. Silly old thing.

True though, in my opinion.

I don't see anyone deserting esablished MMOs to play the Stargate one. I don't see droves of non-MMO-playing stargate fans rushing out to get the game either.
Just my opinion, but I don't think this is as strong an IP as Conan, let alone LOTR.

Well they have an absolute ton of content to draw on, but a MMORPG? Surely an SG MMO needs to be a FPS? I mean the series was all about combat, the storyline was only there to set-up the next big explosion, or cool special effect.

Speaking of which, the last SG:Atlantis (from the US) was extremely enjoyable.

I love stargate, I will def try this out if there's a free trial or something. I suspect the Asgard to focus on tech, Jaffa on combat, and the humans on, well, not much really.

I'll definitely try out being an asgard, though it'll be interesting to see if they try make them different to one another, as they all look exactly the same in the series.

They should have included the Ori for the sake of magic users though. The bad guys all look a bit boring imo. Not that I'm jumping with glee at the goodie selection.

So instead of 10000000000 Legolasses, we'll be seeing 100000000000 O'Neills running around? Should be good for a laugh.

Well as a stargate fan myself (altho not a rabid one). Il have to admit I'll be keeping a beady eye on this, the screenshots look lovely. Fingers crossed it turns out to be relatively solid and I may even give it a try!

Has anyone ever read Robert Jordan's "The Wheel of Time" series? Now THERE's a story gagging for MMO treatment. Just imagine, the online story running from the first trollic invasion of Two Rivers, to the formation of the the Black Tower, to Tarmon Gaidon itself. Players would be driven by the main story arc, running into the main characters and events as and when they arise. I drool at the thought of it. Those who've read and love the series know what I'm on about. If there is a good, it will happen. *If*.

"Jaffa, KREE!"

... And nobody finds it odd that Cheyenne Mountain, the developers are apparently named after the Cheyenne Mountain United States Air Force facility, where the Stargate Command is supposed to be?

Plasusible denyability, anyone? Its clearly all a plan to distract people from it all being real, honest! Ive been to the mountain itself, and they have guards there - why would they, if its not real, huh? Huh??

Anyway, rather than running around killing rats/hogs/harmess rabbits, I take it you will be running around killing Replicators?

Just my opinion, but the Wheel of Time series is an unending stream of turgid dross.

Well lets face it, the program sucks and its on its 10 season with an off shoot season. If it can do that, then this could be the next world of warcraft. Bloody nerds...

Wheres Star Trek MMO???

Well if its anything mate, I liked wheel of time too, its not my favourite, but it was certainly very entertaining, altho a bit off topic for this thread ;)

Its also worth noting that there is already a wheel of time game out, altho its a few years old now.
