Activision has confirmed these are Wii shots so I've changed it to a Wii gallery. Apologies for the confusion. The supposed PS3 and 360 shots have been moved into a separate gallery.

I hope obi-wan doesn't have force lightning. that's so stupid.

Character selection screen looks like the Wii version

Hang on, is that Mace Windu fighting Mara Jade? That's from the multiplayer, I take it!

Graphically, I think some of these MUST be touch-ups, but most of them look legit gameplay shots. I like it, it does feel suitably Star Wars-y. Not 100% sure about the story but I'm looking forward to playing in the world with all the destructable crap.

Hmmm, not looking amazing to be fair.
  • oceanmotion #5 4 years ago

The more I see of this, even videos, the worse I think it might be. I think it's going to suffer as a tech demo idea like Assassins Creed.
  • HolyJebus #6 4 years ago

I presume these pics are from mixed formats. Some look good, some crap.
  • septimus #7 4 years ago

Look like PS2/Wii screenshots with shit loads of AA and touch up.

Polygon count is so low in some of the shots.
  • Krelle #8 4 years ago

How can a game look so good and SO shitty at the same time? Is some of them from ps2/wii, while others arnt?
  • Razorus #9 4 years ago

Looks quite poor to me. Definetly PS2/Wii versions being shown, but the graphics could still be better.
  • captainrentboy #10 4 years ago

I'm guessing two of them are from the proper consoles, The 360 and PS3, and the ugly fuckers are from the Wii version, right? :)
Infact the two decent looking ones look more like artwork than proper ingame shots.
  • Darren #11 4 years ago

@captainrentboy - Thanks for reminding me that this game is coming out on the Wii. There I was thinking how the f*** can one game look so great in one screenshot and so cack in another when I read your post! Phew! LOL
  • hannibaldave #12 4 years ago

Block A uses force choke on Block B. Woooooooooooooooo!!!
  • dudefella #13 4 years ago

I'm gonna assume the ugly shots are from the last gen versions, as I've heard people who've seen the game in action first-hand say that it's the best looking 360 game they've seen, and I'm just going to assume they weren't lying their heads off.
  • Xerx3s #14 4 years ago

You know, each new batch seems to be less and less impressive. Compared to the original tech demo's, it all looks kinda meh.
  • FlamingCarrot #15 4 years ago

    hmmmm shit it looks
  • penhalion #16 4 years ago

I began loosing interest in this once the lightsabers seemed incapable of actually cutting through anything. They spent so much time on the force powers (even though there appear to be only about half a dozen) and no time on light saber limb severings. As Obi-Wan says in the movies "A jedi's lightsaber is his life". He says it for a reason. When two force wielders fight, the outcome always comes down to the better saber skills.

Did lucasarts simply not play the dark forces games. All of those had force powers but, not at the expense of a decent set of saber moves and limb slicing.
  • AphoticCosmos #17 4 years ago

That doesn't look like the 360 or PS3 version to me - must be Wii, especially since on that duel mode screen you've got Wii buttons.
  • Xerx3s #18 4 years ago

I thought that we finally had a new DF2:Jedi knight on our hands. Guess I was mistaken. Oh well, should have known with the new electronic...ehh..lucas arts.
  • Krelle #19 4 years ago

penhalion: They wanted to include limb-slicing, BUT couldnt becouse of the T rating they aim at. Its sad, but understandable.
  • derblaue #20 4 years ago

Wow, what a sense of deja-vu. It feels like looking at the screens of Jedi Knight 2 for the first time. I seriously hope they will improve the quality of the character models. Or post some proper 360/ps3 screens ;). I had really high hopes for this game and part of me still does, but from what I see here I can't say that I'm blown away.
  • Moz #21 4 years ago

A couple of those are deffinately from the Wii as it has press "A" in a circle and bress "B" in a rectangle. Plus the shot of the character select has to be Wii as thats the only version to have the duels.
  • orakio #22 4 years ago

those are pretty neat graphics for a wii game then
  • penhalion #23 4 years ago

    @Krelle

The old Dark Forces games were all teen and had the limb severing so I can't see that being a valid reason not to have it this time around. It makes the light saber seem like an under powered baton. It seriously looks to me like they just plain spent too much time on the force effects and material/physics system so everything else suffered as a result.

The more they show off this game, the less I look forward to it. The story alone must have been seriously shoehorned into the starwars universe i.e We know vader lives, we know Obi-wan lives, we know they never found skywalkers kids, We know that somehow nobody ever finds out about the secret apprentice (dispite the destruction he so obviously causes) etc. etc. This is shaping up to be a game you simply don't buy for the story. It's also not freeform enough to be a starwars sandbox so what the heck is it?
  • J.C #24 4 years ago

    Confirmed. wii/PS2 screenshots.
  • GM #25 4 years ago

Damn, this brings back memories and makes me want to see another Jedi Knight game by Raven Software.
  • Krelle #26 4 years ago

penhalion: be realistic now. Those games you mention were released in ~1995.
The way they rated things back then was different. Also, the more realistic the graphics get, the harder it gets for the developers to meet the T rating. This can hardly be groundbreaking news for you, mate.

Since when did anyone but the extreme fans buy an SW game for the story? And those fans doesnt make up a large enough group for a game to sell well. I think they are more clever than going after that minority, tbh.

Based on appearances only it looks like shit, those are some poor graphics.
  • Goodfella #28 4 years ago

Visually very un-impressive looking at those pics.

Looks like a PC game circa 1999.

Edit: Ah, Wii/PS2 screens, all is clear now.

Its looks like 2 completely different games....i wanna play the one from the 9th pic, but wouldnt piss on the one from the 8th pic if it was on fire!!!
  • JJrabbit #30 4 years ago

I'm confused as to why these are the first shots? There's been trailers (albeit in "Developer Diary" form) on GameTrailers for a while. It shows the game using Euphoria and has actual videos of the game. Have I missed something here?
  • J.C #31 4 years ago

Like i said, they are wii/PS2 screenshots. if you have a 360/PS3 stop worrying!
  • Grayvern #32 4 years ago

Yeah the screens in the latest Games TM look amazing especially the first level with Vader and long shots of Kashyyk.

Incidentally the mag also has the collest cover its ever had designed like the really old star wars figure card backs.
