Character selection screen looks like the Wii version

Graphically, I think some of these MUST be touch-ups, but most of them look legit gameplay shots. I like it, it does feel suitably Star Wars-y. Not 100% sure about the story but I'm looking forward to playing in the world with all the destructable crap.

Polygon count is so low in some of the shots.

Infact the two decent looking ones look more like artwork than proper ingame shots.

Did lucasarts simply not play the dark forces games. All of those had force powers but, not at the expense of a decent set of saber moves and limb slicing.

The old Dark Forces games were all teen and had the limb severing so I can't see that being a valid reason not to have it this time around. It makes the light saber seem like an under powered baton. It seriously looks to me like they just plain spent too much time on the force effects and material/physics system so everything else suffered as a result.
The more they show off this game, the less I look forward to it. The story alone must have been seriously shoehorned into the starwars universe i.e We know vader lives, we know Obi-wan lives, we know they never found skywalkers kids, We know that somehow nobody ever finds out about the secret apprentice (dispite the destruction he so obviously causes) etc. etc. This is shaping up to be a game you simply don't buy for the story. It's also not freeform enough to be a starwars sandbox so what the heck is it?

The way they rated things back then was different. Also, the more realistic the graphics get, the harder it gets for the developers to meet the T rating. This can hardly be groundbreaking news for you, mate.
Since when did anyone but the extreme fans buy an SW game for the story? And those fans doesnt make up a large enough group for a game to sell well. I think they are more clever than going after that minority, tbh.

Looks like a PC game circa 1999.
Edit: Ah, Wii/PS2 screens, all is clear now.
