Star Wars: Force Unleashed to get DLC
New mission plus Indy character model.
LucasArts has announced it's working on downloadable content for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
You can expect new costumes and characters for the single-player campaign, according to GameSpot. So you'll be able to play through it as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Obi-Wan, plus Jedi stalwarts Ki-Adi-Mundi and Kit Fisto. There's even talk of an Indiana Jones character model.
SPOILER ALERT: You might not want to read the next paragraph if you haven't finished the game, but:
A second content update will feature a whole new mission. It's set in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Playing as Vader's apprentice once again, you'll be on the hunt for clues about his background and especially his Dad.
Both content updates are due this autumn. You'll have to pay for them, but it's not clear how much yet.

They won't add anything new to the gameplay. Utter rubbish if they are not free too.
New missions would be really great.
I did enjoy the game. It was very much over-hyped though.... but once you get into it its actully pretty fun, just needs more to do.
I heard they were planning to do episodic DLC which would be awesome! Especially if they kept the new content flowing on a regular basis.

Still, more content is always good as long as the price is right.

Reskins of Luke etc would just be lame though, hopefully they modify the model also.

@Rirekon: No vader isn't his dad; to be honest his jacobs were probably fried off at the end of Revenge of the Sith. Unless his midichlorians made him some new ones...
Everyone raved about the story and slagged off the gameplay. I've found the story to be rather predictable, and indeed a little clumsy re double cross/double double cross etc... I also found the core gameplay very good fun for what amounts to a straightforward 3rd person beat em up.
I agree with Septimus that it's great fun to replay but yeah, it might have benefitted from some Lego Star Wars style bits that you can't reach on first play through. The different characters should play differently, especially if you're being charged for the content.

Also, how about the "Force Unleashed" mode from the PSP version? It's excellent.
For those who don't know, it's lets you play three extra game modes. "Force Duel" is a series of one-on-one Jedi battles, "Order 66" is a survival game set in a series of arenas with ever more deadly bosses and "Historical Missions" lets you re-enact classic skirmishes from the films. Play as Vader battling Luke in the carbonite chamber on Cloud City or as Luke fighting Boba Fett at the Saarlac pit on Tatooine etc..
It's all good!

I own both the 360, PS3 (not arrived with my free graphic novel yet) and PSP version.
TBH the Force Unleashed mode isn't as good as you're making it out to be, yes its got extra modes but you're still playing as the Aprentice as they're still only skins.
Although not bad, the historical missions are not really anything like the movies counterpart.
Luke beats Boba Fett? Does he.
Obi Wan force throws Anakin into Lava? False.
Darth Vader can use Force lightning, run pretty fast and use acrobatics? Nope.
However, the Mace Windu and Count Dooku missions are pretty accurate, they're still only skins though.
Force duel is pretty good though and Order 66 unlocks Darth Maul.
I still enjoy playing the PSP version though, as you get to use different saber hilts and the Aprentice uses force choke.
I'll definitely be getting the DLC for either/both for the 360/PS3 version, HD Corusant (sp) FTW.
Here's hoping they add Nar Shadaa (sp) aswell.

That's the only other level the Wii/PS2/PSP version has that the 360/PS3 doesn't, although the Empirical level isn't playable in the Wii/PS2/PSP version, so I suppose they're even.
I do however, prefer the Wii/PS2/PSP version of Bespin/Cloud City, you get to fight Mandalorians (Jango Fett is a mandalorian) and an evil looking Jar Jar
@rpt81.
Han Solo is a skin in the Wii/PS2/PSP version, so I think he does use a lightsaber, I've not used him though.
