Star Ocean PS3 dated for Europe News

PlayStation 3 News by Robert Purchese

18 September, 2009

Square Enix has announced that the PS3 version of Star Ocean: The Last Hope will be released on 12th February here in Europe.

Subtitled International, the main differentiator between this an the existing Xbox 360 game is language support. There's a choice of both English and Japanese voiceovers, plus menus and subtitles for readers of French, German, Spanish and Italian.

What else - if anything - is new hasn't been said.

Famitsu unveiled the Japanese SKU earlier this week, and that will also appear in February.

Star Ocean: The Last Hope launched to favourable reviews on Xbox 360 in the summer just gone - I think we can safely call it autumn now.

Head over to our Star Ocean: The Last Hope review to see what we thought.

Japanese voiceovers and the ability to be able to go between different areas toward the end of the game without having to swap DVDs all the time is enough 'new features' for me.

Ahh yeah, the whole disc swapping thing was a pain. Glad to know that it's remedied =)
Still not convienced with the Jap VA's though, that's not exactly a 'feature', especially to those of us who would rather play it with english VAs anyway.
Practical in-game content is what I'd like to see.
