S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky gets delayed News

GSC Game World is confident that S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky will be out across Europe on 5th September.

The openworld PC shooter had previously been expected in August; a date set after Clear Sky missed initial "early 2008" forecasts.

Clear Sky, a prequel to S.T.A.L.K.E.R., casts the player as a mercenary flitting allegiances between various factions in the nuclear wasteland of Chernobyl.

Technology has been improved to make enemies smarter and the game run more smoothly; some of the areas that put dampeners on our enjoyment of S.T.A.L.K.E.R first time around.

Thankfully, developer GSC seems to have learned the lessons of over-ambition and doing too much at once. Clear Sky has taken only one and a half years to develop, and not six years like S.T.A.L.K.E.R..

Woohoo! There I was thinking it was due sometime 2009. Looking forward to this but please solve the problem which I had with the first one! Whenever you had an epic battle, additional troops would continue appearing. Made it very hard to have any rpg inventory elements as I didn't often have a chance to loot bodies etc.

Yes it was buggy, yes it was hard to kill those soviets in open landscape. But it was great. And I like too see they move in the same direction where the reality is that a bush can not protect you, and concrete walls can. For reality this game needs no change, for bugs, weeell, hope we all can load it first time around now.

Let's not forget the original STALKER was delayed so much that when it came out it was set in the past, even though the story they revealed early in development had it set in the future.

Perhaps this will come out "dangerously close" to Duke Nukem Forever.

Well, It's september 7th now, and there still is no Stalker Clear Sky for sale. I Heard it's all about misprinted key of the bookleds.
Damn I'm waiting to long already. What about the UK? Is it out there? Here in the Netherlands its not comming earlier as september 12th.
