No, you see.. they had this one screenshot in the news story with Zoo Keeper last week.. but they only updated the screenshot section with THE ONE screenshot just now. So .. I'm only congratulating them.

And the shockwave version of Zoo Keeper is hardly a replacement for the greatness of the DS version!

its not a shockwave game, its a flash game, just look in your cache for it, its a .swf and around 200k ;)

Portability. Stylus controlled. 5 game modes. Different scoring system. Different bonus system. 1 cart multiplayer.

Yep.. not getting any of that on the shockwave version.

Er, yeah. Shockwave Flash.

Dont meen to be picky, but Shockwave is the player for Director files, its just on shockwave.com all Flash files are played through the shockwave player.

/ realises ive just been picky

Anyway, looks good, love the online version and am interested to see what extra game modes are on it.

Small Web File

Flash existed before Macromedia bought it from Future Splash. The format never changed. Macromdeia like to push shockwave and the whole branding, aswell as the player, but the flash player is far more distributed (around 2:1).

Yes, but what's cause, and what's effect. If portable gaming is the same as simple mini-games on a card, sold at full price, then yes, I am not interested.

Haha, could be, the first link you gave has the game embeded in the page at the wrong size. Flash is vector based and so easily scalable, however scalled movies dont run as fast as ones at ther correct size. Best way to play it is download it and play it in the standalone Flash player.

I was just thinking, with the level of swiftness you'll be playing this in comparison to the Flash version, due to the tapping right onto the icons dynamic, it will play quite a bit differently. On PC (or Mac) it's all about how fast you can move the mouse-pointer to the next 'pair', but the hands-on approach on the DS will give you quite an advantage not only in speed, but you'll be able to focus gameplat around the animal-counters more effectively.

Nah, I reckon Dagon's got a valid point there. The stylus will make a difference 'cos with the mouse, you look at a certain animal and try to move the mouse cursor onto it, sometimes accidentally missing the target. The eye-hand coordination always goes via adjusting the position of the mouse cursor until it moves over the animal. Playing with the stylus will be much more immediate because you focus on an animal and then 'touch' it.

Look, it's a nice game, I really like it, I was just genuinely surprised it will be offered as a full price game. You think it's worth it, many people don't.

Clearly I took the rest of way to that term myself, but the tendency is there. I certainly would never do more than a passing comment on a game I'm not interested in. And what does being a fan of Nintendo have to do with anything? It's not a Nintendo game.

Also, one thing about the gameplay -- you can move pieces around while your previous move are still disappearing in this version. For enormous combos. Pretty cool.
