I would rather Sega worked on a new tennis game for the more powerful consoles. And I'm not so sure this will play so well on the PS2 pad with those diabolical analogue sticks.

Come on - it's tennis! How much power do you need to make a prettier version of Pong? You could probably do a Spectrum version of this and only lose out on the graphical flair. :-)

Then that is the only thing you could gain, so they might as well only work on more powerful consoles to make it look better and smoother.
