Lovely visuals - just like the PS3 version really but playing VF5 with the Xbox 360 d-pad?

    Hmmm.

TBH i think this looks abit pants, especially for Current Gen consoles

I've only seen the PS3 version on a demo kiosk, but to me it just looked a bit more plasticky than the last generation (in general). I guess the main graphical things you can add to a fighting game are too insignificant to even notice in general gameplay.

I agree it does look plasticky, but I don't agree that next-gen consoles can't add major things to the graphics. Beat-em-ups are crying out for proper collisions and physics rather than attack animation A triggering hit animation B. I want the on-screen action to be as fluid and believable as possible, even if the game mechanic is as old as the hills.

    >Real skin and cloth would work better.

Erm.. how do you get real skin and cloth into a game?

    Chopping off peoples limbs?

    What I've wanted for ages:

A fighting game where me and a buddy could start out in a whole building complete with furniture, windows, destructible walls and whatever objects you would find in bars, homes, garages, shoppingmalls etc.

The view could be as in VF only possibly split screen could kick in if you were far apart. The fighting should be just as much about blocking/avoiding an attack than about hitting, kicking, using objects, throwing the opponent through walls. Spending energy on large attacks, lifting heavy stuff etc should involve risk of temporary and some permanent loss of health in the healt meter.

I guess this is old ideas, but I still haven't seen a kind of free roaming fighting game. The 3d games stil have this invisible 2d line you are fighting along, and I guess it would be risky to release a game where aiming for your oponent is just as important as hitting the ultimate button combo.

I've wanted this since me and a buddy spent countless amounts of money on Final Fight on an arcade machine. Then Street fighter came, and all you did was stay in a room and hit your buttons as quickly as you could.
