I don't sound obsessed, do I?

They needed to change her face. She looked like some kind of hideous freak! :-)

This time it looks like they've done a lot better. Anyone know if they're still employing the same artists? The lips are still rather strange looking though, way too square and chunky and ugly like they always were before. And the eyes seem ... somehow unnatural.
Love how they also made a render of her backside. :D

Basically, it's still in it's core essence, Lara. But they've just tweaked the look a little to make it a little more presentable for the 21st century.
Now, lets hope they pay as much attention to the game as they have to Lara's backside...

Since her centre of gravity is more over the left leg, the top half of her body should be more over to that side instead of bang in the middle.
Other than that it's fine - 8/10 :)

it takes alot of guts to take an existing charcter (especially one from such a popular series) and make it better and more dynamic.
its lara, plain and simple, and i think crystal dynamics (is that who's still doing it? i can't remember) have done lara proud...she looks better than ever, her proportions are nicer (she isn't supposed to be photo realistic remember, shes very stylised)..
"The lips are still rather strange looking though, way too square and chunky and ugly like they always were before. And the eyes seem ... somehow unnatural. "
this is obviously the model that will end up in the game engine (maybe not the final game, but early tests)...so a little bit of square-ness may be apperant, how ever, after all my looking, i couldn't see what you're talking about really. And those eyes are really nice, i could stare into them for hours! (a little too much info, but hey! ;P) and that little pout she's got is just yummy...
some ppl are just way too critical, and at the end of the day, if thats all you can find wrong with it, then they've done a good job!
im a huge tomb raider fan, and i was really sceptical about lara heading state-side and to a new developer, but like i said earlier they haven't offended me at all with lara's new look.. she looks great, up-to-date, and i just cant wait to get my hands on her again...
now if only the game looks as good as its lead chara, then this will be one to watch out for!

As for the eyes, well, it's more of a feeling of deadness, probably because of the lack of shine and eyelids which are nowwhere to be seen, probably hidden under that ridicilously fat eyeliner.
In all, I suspect that they were just instructed to keep to the look of the early Lara somewhat, I believe they would've done it differently had they been given the green light to just do whatever they wanted.
Bru-Man: No. You're wrong.

So would Mario, and 90% of all animated characters. What's your point?
Oh wait, you don't have one.
