Still don't get all the fuss on next gen graphics. To me, it all looks like old gen on hi res... much similar to current PCs. I'm puzzled.

the first generation of next gen games will look pretty much like last gen. it'll take about a year before most developers catch up on the gap and start producing real next gen product.

this... just looks like an xbox1 game

Call me a fool, call me blind - but I don't see much improvement over Smash Court, let alone Top Spin. Still too gamey, although in Tennis you only have to fully animate upto 4 players. Yeah I know the crowd is fully 3D with a gazillion polygons used to fashion every invidual earlobe, but high poly count doesn't a realistic visual make.

Maybe they should use the FEAR approach - hiding blocky environment behind spectacular particle effects. Surely the 360 is much more capable than that!

    Nice ground textures, though.

For me next-gen graphics will be all about animation and on-screen movement. A screen can't really capture the greatness of any of the PS3 tech demo videos. Xbox360 games have a long way to go. Its got the hardware just not the games.

still i think that this game needs to spiced up somewhat. does not completely blow me away. More players, more realism in the way shots are played, for examplt when the first game came out, the volleying was really poor and i just did not feel confident that the developers (PAM) had got it right. also, at times the replays did not feel right. somewhat artificial. Hopefully with this 360 they will be able to really go ahead full steam. In spite of all the negatives i have put down, i have to say at times this games animations blow me away and it is a shame that not all sports titles are well this well motion captured. I just wish that pro evo's animations can't get it right for me.
