Nice but not good enough. Its gonna need to be very very special this time round. Thanks to Halo 2 it may be overlooked all together by the xbox crowd.

Time Splitters titles have always had a good 'feel' to them, the world feels solid and when you shoot somebody it feels like your hitting them with bullets and not just making health go down via a magic pointing device (ala Halo2), probably down to the great animators at FRD, i'm also a fan of the art design and characters - its a really unique style which works well.

However, the biggest let down is that while it has the core dynamics perfected, the single player and multiplayer modes have normally been a generic pick and mix of other (better) titles. GoldenEye had a better single player mode, with more tension and mood. and Perfect Dark had the by far better multiplayer mode with less generic weapony and the spiffy 'profile' system, also the lack of online play seriously downgraded the TS2's from a must-have title.

With online play, a better map editor (you can play them online to!) i think the multiplayer mode alone might be worth picking this up, the single player mode will be a nice extra.
