I loved TLJ, but I am still not convinced that going from beautifully pre-rendered backgrounds to an average 3d engine was a great idea. But if the game's good, it's a must-buy.

All under the same umbrella, Rinoa. Adventure games are just a dying breed, which is leaving us with more action than adventure in most cases. No-one seems to be mourning the slow demise of the adventure genre, whether pure adventure or point-and-click...

... which is why I'm waiting for this game with baited breath...

Well, I have the impression they're trying to build a universe, which is good. Could this become as stuffy as the Star Wars universe?

There's a trailer over on EGTV. The game looks great.

    It does indeed look lovely.

    However

    1) I hope they have a better control and movement scheme than the last Broken Sword game, and haven't tried to become half 3D action adventure like that either.

    2) I hope they have got rid of the need for constant tooing and froing between locations like the original longest journey, or have at least given the option to warp between locations you've already been to.

    3) I hope all the puzzles have logical solutions without the need to have spotted silly little things like, for instance an inflatable inner tube hidden under a bridge with just a few pixels showing in a pre-rendered image.

Other than that I'm really looking forward to it. (Apart from the fact I'd prefer it on the XBox360).

Oh, but it's 3D! It's inherently superior, don't you know. Even if it does look like shit compared to 2D....it's still better!

I just clicked on this thinking it was the desperate house wives game. Cue lots of temporary astonishment at what I saw.
